There are very few fruits that I am actually fond of eating and grapes are one of them. I can go a month without any fruit in my diet, but the moment I have grapes in my fridge, I simply can’t seem to stop opening my fridge to grab some of them to munch on.
There are times though when I end up getting the seeded variety rather than the seedless ones and I find it rather annoying having to get the seeds out. Question to ponder, can you eat grape seeds without having to worry about it?
I remember loving grapes even as a toddler myself. I also remember having to take the seeds out and hating the taste of it on those times when I would eat it accidentally.
Now that I think about it, I can’t really remember the taste of grape seeds, only that I hated it as a kid. Nowadays, with all the interest in grape seed oil and other grape seed products, I wonder about whether I can eat them from the fresh fruit without having any health repercussions.

Now that you understand the benefits of eating both the grape fruit and the grape seeds, you are wondering how you can eat them. Well, it is actually a lot easier than you think.
Eat them raw!
Yeah, they have a very lousy texture eaten alone but trying popping the whole grape in your mouth, skin, flesh and seeds altogether. Don’t dwell on the idea of the seeds in there but just munch on the whole thing.
You will notice that despite the change in texture, you still get really awesome flavor. It may take some getting used to but once you do get used to it, you will barely notice it anymore. Just think of all those wonderful nutrients you get for suffering just a little bit.
Some people think that swallowing the seeds whole instead will suffice. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to enjoy the full benefits of your grape seeds if you are not digesting them properly. You still have to help your stomach digesting these little wonders by chewing.
Add the grape seeds to yours smoothies
You can also make a grape smoothie with the whole grape. As long as you have a powerful blender, the grape seeds will be broken down so smoothly that you won’t even notice it’s there. Add some of your other favorite fruits to make it even better.
An alternative is to collect all those grape seeds, add a little bit of water, and blend until completely smooth. Better yet, use a coffee bean grinder to grind those seeds! This is a good way to save those grapes from completely going to waste, and for you to enjoy your grape fruit without the seeds.
Once your grapes seeds are blended smoothly, you can add them to spinach smoothies, or even to the dressing of your salad. You can add them to basically anything and it will keep in your fridge for at least two days.
Buy the Processed Grape Seeds
If you want the benefits of grape seeds but not the trouble of changing the way you eat your grape fruit or saving the seeds yourself, you can simply buy grapeseed extracts that are easily available in the market.
